Changes to Credit Agreements

May 2021

We have made the following changes to our Credit Agreements.

Brexit-related changes

We have deleted:

  • the heading from the Pre-Contract Credit Information which referred to “European” as required by recent UK legislation
  • references to the European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform, as this is no longer available for UK citizens

Changes to make the Credit Agreement clearer

We have added clarification that:

  • if applicable, we may send emails (or messages to your online account) asking you to provide feedback about our products and services
  • in addition to our rights to vary the Credit Agreement as set out in the section titled Variations, we may only vary the Credit Agreement for any other valid reason, provided this was not reasonably foreseeable at the time we enter into the Credit Agreement with you

Change to the Privacy Notice (Part D)

We have:

  • updated details of the Credit Reference Agencies (CRAs) who we may share your data with
  • clarified when we might search your records at CRAs
  • updated the section about who we may give your data to, clarifying that this includes:
    • insolvency practitioners acting on the intermediary’s or your behalf
    • any suppliers we use to collect and publish feedback about our products and services

If you are a limited company or limited liability partnership, we have also made the following changes:

  • included warranties for the person signing the Agreement that:
    • the customer is not subject to any insolvency events and
    • where any payments are made from a third party bank account, that third party has agreed to making such payments
