Premium Credit’s Key Account Manager Christopher Emmanuel has been elected as President of the Northampton Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) for the forthcoming year.

Following roles at the Institute including Communications Officer and Deputy President, he takes up the new position during extraordinary and challenging times.

Emmanuel aims to make an immediate impact following the good work of his predecessor Sian Cassie. He sees his priorities as developing the online capability of the Northampton Institute to enhance the learning capability of members through CPD accredited training and development; encouraging more women to develop careers in the insurance industry and to introduce the next generation of insurance professionals to have active involvement in the CII’s work.

Having a decade’s experience as an insurance broker, followed by commercial roles with Willis Towers Watson Network and now at Premium Credit he brings knowledge, expertise and understanding to the role.

Emmanuel comments: “I’m honoured to have the opportunity to lead the Chartered Insurance Institute of Northampton into its 113th year. We’re going through an unprecedented time which has caused us to adapt quickly to the changing work practices in the UK at present.

I’m fortunate to have an incredibly strong and committed team on Council who have already found practical solutions to ensure we provide consistent and relevant support to our diverse membership."

He added: “I’m also grateful to the leadership team at Premium Credit, who have encouraged me to follow my passion, giving me the scope to take up this role. I feel it’s vital that we all actively engage with the professional bodies in the financial services industry, of which we’re all an intrinsic component. The support I have from the business leaders at Premium Credit has allowed me to do exactly that.”
