Credit Award finalists

Brokers / 9th November

Our Collections and Recovery team were finalists in the ‘Outstanding Conduct in Collections’ category at the 2020 Credit Awards, the UK’s largest awards for the credit industry.

This year the Credit Awards programme has seen a record number of both individual companies entering and total award entries. Hosted by comedian Justin Moorhouse, the Credit Awards took place remotely, with each winner announced in a digital broadcast format. The awards, known as 'the Oscars of the credit industry' recognise and reward innovation, best practice and the hard work of individuals, business divisions and pan-global conglomerates.

The award entry outlined our recognition to reinvigorate the collections & recoveries environment to ensure that our business operated efficiently, effectively and, above all, putting customers and partners at the heart of business operations.

The shortlisted entry included details of the importance we place on treating customer’s fairly, fully understanding their circumstances and dealing with them in an empathetic manner regardless of their ability to repay or not.

As part of improvements outlined in our entry, we appointed a new Head of Collections & Recoveries (HoCR) to provide a renewed focus on the team’s culture and performance.

Tara Waite, Premium Credit’s CEO commented: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the work we do to support our partners and their customers. Our Collections and Recovery team make significant efforts to understand and help our customer get back on track in collaboration with our partners, and minimise financial losses.”
